aiPopuli was founded in 2019 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. We began as a software services company, and we still are one — that work funds everything else and we're good at it.

What changed is what we do with what we learn. Building a retail platform for an international airport taught us something specific about how travel retail actually operates. Building a SaaS platform for Australian steel fabricators taught us how deeply a product has to understand a domain to be worth paying for.

So we now do both. We build and operate our own products for travel retail, and we build products for companies who need an engineering team that has done it before. The two feed each other: what we learn running our own platform makes us better partners, and client work keeps us honest about what production really demands.
